IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to low water levels in the Mytchett section of the canal this session has been moved to Farnborough Wharf – We will not have access to a boat store, so you will need to bring all your own equipment. WE WILL ALSO AIM TO BE ON THE WATER AT 6:00 PM, SO PLEASE ARRIVE AROUND 5:30 OF YOU CAN.

Please bring the following equipment with you as a minimum:
- Kayak / Paddleboard
- Paddle
- Buoyancy Aid
- Suitable clothing for the weather (cag etc.) – remember it may get cold in the evenings.
- A head torch if you have one – it will probably be getting dark by the time we finish
The canal is a great opportunity to move your skills from the pool to an outdoor sheltered environment. We vary which route we take each week taking a gentle strolling pace along the canal.
Please aim to arrive at about 5:30 pm, so that we can have everyone on the water by 6:00 pm in order to make the most of the light.
Our volunteers will do the best they can to get you on the water as soon as is possible, however you should only enter the water once you have, registered, a volunteer has ensured you have adequate and correctly fitted safety equipment and a senior volunteer has said it is safe to do so.
