Canoe Polo

We are a welcoming canoe polo club, providing a friendly space to learn as well as a route to progress to a high level of the sport. Throughout the summer season we train up to four times a week at Hawley Lake and throughout the winter season, once it is dark in the evenings, we train once a week at Hawley Lake on the weekends.

We have an open team, in Open National Division 2 and a ladies team in Women’s South East regionals. We also regularly attend weekend tournaments around the UK and throughout Europe, spanning a wide range of levels, so there is an opportunity for everyone to experience competing at large events.

We welcome new members to our Canoe Polo section, regardless of prior polo experience. We do however ask that you are competent in a kayak (around British Canoeing Explore / old 2 star level; we can help train you to this level at our Weekly Paddling Sessions).

We have polo-specific kit available for our sessions. If you wish to borrow kit during a tournament we ask for the following:
– £10 per day, £15 per weekend for club kit including a boat
– £5 per day, £7.50 per weekend for club kit excluding a boat
This is only applicable for non-subs paying members.
