Description:
To celebrate the Lido’s opening day we will once again be running kayaking taster sessions, these sessions are free to anyone using the Lido on the opening day, so we shall release online bookings at around 8am on the day
Once you have paid and entered the lido, you can either come and visit us by the diving board to sign up, or complete the booking form below. Once booked please come over to us 5mins before your time slot on the day. We shall be running 4 x 30 minute paddling sessions on the day at: 12:30, 13:30, 14:30 & 15:30.
No previous paddling experience is required for these taster sessions (though you’re welcome to attend if you have paddled before), and all equipment will be provided! The lido is a fantastic venue for trying the sport for the first time or practising those skills you would prefer not to do at the canal.
Volunteers
As always any help our members can offer with this event is greatly appreciated, this can be either on the bank (helping get set-up, signing people up for sessions, helping participants with kit) or on the water (helping people with paddling); if you can only help for that of the day then that’s fine too.
The rough timings are as follows:
11:30 – 12:30 Volunteers arrive 11:30 – 12:30 Setup for paddling & setup club Gazebo for band.
12:30 – 13:00 Session 1
13:00 – 13:30 Break
13:30 – 14:00 Session 2
14:00 – 14:30 Break
14:30 – 15:00 Session 3
15:00 – 15:30 Break
15:30 – 16:00 Session 4
16:00 – Clear up
