Booking Cut Off: 11 pm Thursday 7th November
Type: Indoor pool session
Suitability: This session is aimed at older children and Adults. Session 1 is aimed at children.
Description: As the pool at Yateley Manor is still out of action we’ve been in discussions with Alton Canoe Club about joining them at their indoor pool sessions. We’re running this as a trial session to see how well running a joint session works, so if you’d like to get a bit of paddling in then please consider coming along. We’ll try our best to make sure things run smoothly, but as always when trying something new there might be a few unexpected problems, so please do bear with us.
Please note that the second session at Alton Canoe Club tends to be very full. Apparently they typically rotate people on and off the water if a session is over-subscribed, so please be aware that it is possible that you may not be able to paddle the full session.
The theme that Alton Canoe club have planned for this session is “Rolling & Rescues”.
The Alton session starts at around 7:30. We suggest you arrive a little early to sort out any admin that might be required.
Kit/Equipment Hire: Only kayaks stored onsite at Alton Leisure Centre are allowed to be used in the pool. These kayaks are hopefully useable for most people, but are a little on the smaller size. Should you arrive at the session and find yourself unable to paddle the kayaks that are available (i.e. they are too small) then we will ask Alton Canoe Club to refund you for the session.
